“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
― Albert Einstein
It’s a unique feeling to have all the idiosyncrasies and outliers of my life come together in a beautiful gift tied up with string, but that is exactly what Montana Mystic is.
When I was a kid in the 1990’s, I would read my mom’s Prevention magazines, Shirley MacLaine's books, and a macrobiotic cookbook from the 70’s. I also enjoyed romance novels, Victoria Magazine, and Architectural Digest. I was an odd kid. Health, Romance, and Design…not much has changed.
Here we are in 2023, and I am living my romantic dreams with my husband of 21 years, designing my new house (I have honed my tastes from Victorian to more of a Modern Rustic Maximalist), running a wellness company, and writing my second book on wellness (CBD the Ultimate Guide).
A natural progression, if you will.
Another continuous ribbon glimmering through my life has been a deep reverence for the sacred and mystical. As a child, this manifested in spending hours wandering around in the woods of Southeast Alaska or the prairies of Montana, transfixed with the flora. I was also communing with angels and covering everything from earrings to curtains with cherubs and seraphim images – hello Victorian decor leanings! I have always seen the sacred in everything.
As an adult, this gleaming ribbon has become a stack of certificates and shelves of books from courses on everything, health and spirituality; Reiki, meditation, yoga, nutrition, gardening, herbology, aromatherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and energy healing. What a luxury to be able to study and practice my passions!
It hasn't been a smooth journey juggling relationships, health, business, and passions all of these years. My gifts where honed through trial and error combined with perseverance and grit. More on all of that later.
Now in mid-life, I turn 45 this year, my shiny streamer is starting to wrap itself into a neat bow. All of my eclectic traits have culminated into one delightful present. I have honed an original approach to life that includes interior design (Ambiance), fashion (Glamour), food (Nourishment), and spirituality (Practical Mysticism).
My interior design ambiance I dubbed Moody Botanical is just that. Think rich colors with nature inspired whimsy.
My unique glamorous and fun fashion style is christened Sacred Opulence which I am excited to share with the world.
My approach to food and nourishment would best be described at Sumptuous Sustenance which involves delicious and healing recipes and ingredients.
My spiritual teachings are Practical Mysticism to help us all manifest and live out our best lives.
Montana Mystic is my personal lifestyle brand. A company that combines health, spirituality, lifestyle offerings, consisting of courses, books, products, community, and inspirational musings for the wellness-minded and spiritually curious.
I hope others find Montana Mystic inspiring, helpful, and entertaining. I look forward to sharing all the magic with you.
